    Storm allows efficient computation of operations such as count (distinct), percentiles and heavy hitters (top-40) with limited memory. Of great value here, are Approximation algorithms that are relatively easy to use, have tunable accuracy, and are fast. In this talk, Ted Dunning, Chief Application Architect at MapR, will describe several of these, relatively unknown, algorithms and how they can be used in Storm.
